2012

Conference on Policy and Sustainability of Local Language Computing in Developing Asia and Regional Training on Localization of Mobile Platform, will be held from 29th January to 4th February, 2012 at University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore.

2011

Conference on Human Lanaguage Technology for Development (HLTD 2011), jointly organized by PAN L10n, ANLoc and IDRC, was held at Alexandria, Egypt from 02 to 05 May, 2011.

2010

The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) is holding its 13th Sustainable Development Conference (SDC) from 21 to 23 December 2010 in Islamabad, Pakistan. This year’s Conference is titled ‘”Peace and Sustainable Development in South Asia: The Way Forward”.

Paper on Gender and Outcome Mapping authored by PAN Localization team was published in IDRC Book “Policy and Practice in Asian Distance Education“.

Language teaching-learning framework developed initially through the PAN Localization project and later extended by University of Colombo, School of Computing (UCSC), Colombo, Sri Lanka won a local (e-Swabhimani award) and was nominated for the Manthan awards (Project Name: Shikshaka) .

CLE in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has developed Urdu Language version of Punjab Government’s Flood Relief Website.

The 8th Workshop on Asian Language Resources(ALR8) was held in conjunction with The 23rd Conference on Computational Linguistics (COLING 2010) at Beijing, China from 21 to 22 August, 2010.
