NepaLinux 1.1: More User Friendly, Less Technical
   

"About a year ago, in December, 2005, Madan Puruskar Pustakalaya (MPP) has released NepaLinux 1.0, a localized Nepali operating system, based on the open source Linux distribution with an aim of enabling English non-proficient users of Nepal to operate the computer in Nepali itself.

 

 
  Now after making several amendments following feedbacks and suggestions from the users, the first revised edition is being released. NepaLinux 1.1 which was released a week ago, on October 30. MPP says that it is more user friendly and less technical. The research and development of NepaLinux 1.1 has been supported by International Development Research Center (IDRC) and PAN Localization."
